Chris Cooper '97 Heart of Aggieland Endowment

The inspiration for The Heart of Aggieland came from an essay Kristin wrote when she applied to work at the Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center at Texas A&M University as a tour guide - a job she still considers to be the best job she ever had. It was at the Visitor Center that Kristin met her first husband, Chris Cooper '97, who was the manager of the Visitors Center, and a beloved son, brother, friend and Aggie. After five years of marriage and the birth of their beautiful daughter, Colleen, Chris was tragically killed in a car accident by a distracted driver in 2009.

In honor of Chris, proceeds from this book will be donated to the Texas A&M Foundation to support the Chris Cooper ‘97 Heart of Aggieland Endowment, which supports the Appelt Aggieland Visitor Center.
